McAvoy Last Man In

BOSTON - The National Hockey League announced today, January 13, that Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy has been selected to the 2022 NHL All-Star Last Man In vote. The 2022 NHL All-Star Last Man In vote allows one player from each team to join a pool of 31 players from which fans can select four (one from each division) to join their respective All-Star rosters.

. Voting closes on January 17th and the four Last Man In winners will be announced on January 18th.
McAvoy, who is in his fifth season with the Bruins, ranks fifth in scoring on the team with five goals and 15 assists for 20 points. The 6-foot-1, 206-pound defenseman has seven multi-point games through 30 contests this season, including a pair of three-assist nights on November 13 against the New Jersey Devils and January 1st against the Buffalo Sabres. The Long Beach, New York native was named the NHL's 2nd Star of the Week for the week ending November 14, when he recorded two goals and five assists for seven points in four games.
Over five seasons with the Bruins, McAvoy has played in 265 games, collecting 29 goals and 113 assists for 142 points.
McAvoy was originally selected by the Bruins in the first round (14th overall) of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
